out of reach of children. Children never
should play with matches, lighters or candles
- Never sleep,
or leave the house with a candle burning. Never leave a

Working Together for Home Fire Safety
-
Have a working Smoke Alarm on every level of your home.
Remember to change batteries 2x a year with the time change
-
Never overload electrical circuits or extension cords
-
I.E. do not plug in an
electric
heater in
the same circuit as your home computer system
-
Keep clothes, curtains and other potentially combustible
items three feet from all heaters
-
Plan your escape route and practice it
SAFETY REMINDERS

SAFETY TIP: Practice using your smoke alarm with everyone
sleeping to ensure the location is appropriate for all to
hear
-
NEVER cook with pot handles extended outward. Point them
inward so that little children cannot reach up and touch
them
-
NEVER allow children to play around space heaters, irons,
hair dryers, etc
-
Fireplace Owners: Have your chimney cleaned annually
